★EVENTS & USAGE★
We get frequent requests from guests to use our homes for weddings, family reunions, bachelor / bachelorette parties, camping, or other large gatherings. Many of these types of events are high-impact and can affect future guest stays, so we carefully manage them.
If this is something you are looking for, please reach out to us prior to booking. Deposits, event fees, and other conditions may be required based on the event type, size and request. Should a booking be made prior to a mutual agreement on any additional requirements for the event, our standard cancelation policy will apply.
In the event your preferred dates are already taken, or you are traveling with a larger group, please view our other listings or reach out to us as we provide numerous rental options in the region.

★PET-FRIENDLY HOME★
We are a dog (only) friendly home, but maintain a few rules and regulations regarding this. All dogs must be controlled either through a physical leash or with verbal commands so that the dog returns to the owner when necessary. Dogs and owners should both respect the boundaries of the properties and the neighbors use and enjoyment of their own. Guests should ensure that there is no pet waste left in the yards, and all waste is bagged up and removed. Do not leave any animals in the home unattended or uncrated under any circumstance. The home is limited to two dogs, and there may be a fee for these dogs. Guests should thoroughly clean up any shedding or excess fur which may be left in the home so that our cleaning team has a normal turnover without excess or unscheduled work. While we do make every effort to ensure a perfectly clean home, small amounts of fur may be present in the air, settle on the floors or surfaces or may not have been reachable under furniture... an expected, but unfortunate byproduct of being pet friendly.
★NO SMOKING INSIDE★
All of our homes are exclusively no-smoking, of any kind, inside the home. Cigarettes and marijuana are incredibly potent smells for non-users and can have a negative impact on future guests. Evidence of a guest smoking in the house, including the attestment of our cleaning team, will result in a cleaning fee of up to $500.00 to change furnace filters, ozone remediate the air, clean duct work, and clean hard and soft surfaces.
★DISCLOSURES★
Our homes feature many amenities which might be seasonally available or would be considered outdoor recreational items. We make every effort to ensure that these items are available for use and in good condition, but mother nature and our previous guests also play a roll in our ability to do so. Items like outdoor furniture, grills, kayaks, canoes, yard games, fire pits and patios are cared for by our team but are stored outside in the elements. There may be leaves, dirt or debris on these outdoor items, and some may have limited use depending on the season and weather patterns. Other items may have experienced use or abuse by previous guests and were not reported as damaged or broken to us, limiting our ability to repair or replace them. As with all short term rentals, our homes can experience wear and tear at an accelerated rate due to heavy use from our guests. We strive to keep our homes fresh and schedule repairs and maintenance as quickly as we can. You may experience new items at our homes that replaced items from our photos which may have been worn or damaged.
The home is located in a natural setting. Guests may encounter native flora and fauna commonly found in the area, including but not limited to mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, bees, wasps, ants, poison ivy, poison oak, raccoons, squirrels, deer, snakes, birds, and other wildlife. While the property is regularly maintained, the presence of plants, insects, and animals cannot be completely prevented. Guests are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when enjoying outdoor areas, including using insect repellent, wearing appropriate footwear, supervising children and pets, and avoiding contact with unfamiliar plants or wildlife. By booking this home, guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with staying in a natural environment.
Exterior maintenance services, including but not limited to lawn care, landscaping, pest control, snow removal, and trash services are essential to maintaining the quality and function of the home and surrounding land. Many of these services are scheduled on a weekly or monthly basis and may require the service provider to alter their planned date and time to work within past, current, or future weather conditions. As such, services may be performed during a guests’ stay.
Guest access
Our guests have full access and use of the entire home and surrounding land. If you are unsure where the property lines end, please ask and we can assist! The privacy and safety of our guests and neighbors is very important to us.
Access is provided through a remote digital keypad, controlled through our Ring security system. Parking is convenient and close to the home, we only ask that guests do not park or drive on the lawn.
As a remotely located, rural home we manage travel times between our properties for turnovers between guests based on expected arrival times and the most efficient routes. Often, we can accommodate an earlier check in, just ask us in the days before your reservation and we will do our best to help!

Nice beautiful, peaceful and fully stocked home on the River. We’ll be back !
The host was incredible! Booked us on a last minute notice. Had the property beautifully cleaned. And even allowed us to use his property after check out to enjoy the river utilizing his kayaks. Amazing customer service and super friendly. Will 10000% rent again.
The view of the river is perfect. We floated from Old Log Campground to the house. It was perfect. We got on the river at 10 am and we were off at 4 pm, with plenty of fishing and stops.
Very scenic location on the Muskegon River. Nice backyard space where you can sit around the fire pit and enjoy views of the river. Cabin has air conditioning, which was a key feature for our mid-July stay. Temperatures were approaching 100 degrees outside, but inside the cabin was comfortable, even in the upstairs sleeping area. Host was very responsive. He reached out as we were driving to the cabin to inform us the internet was down. He then drove several hours to try to repair the issue. Detailed instructions for arrival and check-out were also provided. My family greatly enjoyed our stay here, and we would be happy to come back again.
Obviously other people have mentioned the carpet and yes, there are stains. But the place is clean. The view is unmatched and if you get the chance, you definitely need to float down the river. From their place to the Sears Bridge if you float in a tube it’s about 6 miles and it took about 3 1/2 hours. I was by myself so it might be a little slower with more people tied together. Gorgeous location. There were two other cabins close by but nobody was there so it felt very secluded. Very nice hosts very responsive and there’s a couple of Dollar General‘s around the area if you need supplies or anything.
Very peaceful place. Host answers all questions very quickly! Would recommend.

Great place to stay with a family. If you enjoy the water and everything it has to offer, this is your place. We made use of every amenity they offered and thoroughly enjoyed our summer stay. Thank you!!
We had a great time. Fishing in the Muskegon river all day and night was a highlight for us. There's a park right up the road that's a great entry point for kayaking and tubing the river. The place was cool as it was in the 90's outside so we had a comfortable stay.
We had a great stay overall! One of our favorite parts was being able to kayak right from the Airbnb down to the Sears Swimming Bridge. We parked our car at the bridge, rode our bikes back to the cabin, and then floated down the river with our little Morkie. It worked out perfectly! The bike ride is on a main road, but since we were there on a Tuesday, traffic was very light and we felt completely safe. The cabin wasn’t as secluded as we expected based on the listing, but fortunately no one was staying at either neighboring home during our visit, so it was still peaceful and quiet. The cabin could use some updating, especially the carpet, which showed quite a bit of wear. That said, it was comfortable, and the location made for an awesome kayaking getaway. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for easy river access and a relaxing trip.
Everything was perfect! Easy to check in easy to check out along with the beautiful peace and views! Perfect for get-togethers!
Absolutely enjoyed our time on the beautiful river. It was extremely quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Robert provided all the information we could possibly need. We will definitely keep this place in mind for the future.
Fair price for a great place! Hosts were very responsive! Just bring some bug spray.
Beautiful scenic view and very clean!
Was an awesome stay, very peaceful. Great for a getaway.
From start to finish, we had a great time. Robert is a great host and as responsive to any questions we had. The cabin was an adorable, river front, place to just relax and unwind! We are already planning our next getaway! Thank you for having a place we could take our two large breed dogs were we all could just be ourselves!
Had a great stay overall at this riverside cabin. The location was peaceful and secluded, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to the river. We especially enjoyed the outdoor setup, firepit area, and the overall relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were responsive, provided detailed instructions, and made check-in very smooth. The property had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable getaway with friends. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet nature escape in Michigan.
Comfortable place to stay. Looked like the photos. Peaceful on the river and comfortable deck chairs to enjoy the view.
The home was very secluded and surrounded by nothing but nature & a couple homes. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and the perfect little getaway if you’re needing something without being around by a bunch of things and noise.
Came for a weekend get away and had an amazing time. Place was great, super responsive hosts, and beautiful views. Hope to be back!
Super beautiful location. We made steaks, went in the hot tub, and enjoyed the view. This was a winter trip for us, and it was very pretty with the snow. Our host was super nice too, good place. We would visit during another season!
I loved our stay here in early March ! Though the weather was funky, the indoors was cozy and warm. I recommend using Apple Maps to navigate to this location since Google maps is a bit weird in remote locations. Me and my wife wanted to unwind after a couple of heavy weeks on our respective work front. The Hot tub was very helpful to relax with a view of the River. They have a huge backyard with the river and I bet It would be really wonderful during the summer. There’s plenty of games and place to sleep upstairs. My only suggestion would be if they can convert the small space upstairs with the chairs into some sort of a cozy day bed area- would be perfect! Overall if you’re a small family, this place would be great to just chill and unwind. Also, Robert was kind and responsive to our questions and concerns, so full marks for that !
Perfect cozy cabin stay without heading too far north! Relaxing in the hot tub and a peaceful winter wonderland view was just what we needed! Robert was very responsive and accommodating.
Was good. Hot tub was nice, river was pretty, the house
Cute and quiet place that was both warm & cozy. Robert was very up front about everything and it was an easy process. The A-frame is cool and the fireplace really tied the room together.
Beautiful place with lots of room
Great spot for a quick weekend getaway!
It was a lovely spot for a weekend getaway!
It was a nice getaway. Tere were a few things that didn’t work properly, and the carpet is stained in multiple places which is why I gave this place 4 stars.
If you’re looking for a quiet place, this is the place to go, especially in the winter months. We never saw a soul. It was as quiet as could be. So if you need some time to think in reflect and relax, this is the place to go.
Such a cozy little cabin with room to sleep many. We loved the hot tub and the view, having a board game selection is always a plus, and the fireplace was relaxing. Host was very communicative.
If I could give it more than 5 stars I easily would! It was the absolute perfect property for an intimate winter weekend get away. The view of the river and surrounding woods was so pretty with the fresh falling snow! I’m going to have to work on my fire making skills as I had no success but that’s a me problem lol! I highly highly recommend this stay for a nice romantic getaway, and if you have a dog, even better!
Location was beautiful. There are some stains to be aware of. Don’t forget to bring drinkable water, as there is access to none on the property. Overall good trip!
Hello Rosalyn, Yes, there are unfortunately stains on the carpet. We're undergoing a remodel that is unfortunately taking longer than expected when the home is booked up! We're moving stairs, walls, redoing the kitchen (hence the new appliances), and then the flooring. The water is definitely drinkable, it's just well water so it may have a different taste or smell than you are used to. We have it tested frequently without any issues!
Cozy little cabin tucked away amongst the trees and backed up against a river. We were looking for a quiet spot to escape the busy world for a weekend, and a couple snowy winter nights in front of the fireplace were just what we were after. Definitely a small space, so pack light and make sure you *really* like everyone you'll be bringing along 😅. Beds were quite firm to hard, but we brought a mattress topper and it was fine. Would also have appreciated quick tips for things like the hot tub, thermostat and coffeemaker - did find the manual for the coffeemaker to discover the on switch 😅 Overall a really good experience - would definitely like to come back another time when we can stay for more than a couple nights!
Our stay was enjoyable. This area was was beautiful and the amenities provided were great for our getaway.
Had a very relaxing time! Host was responsive and the home was lovely! Looking forward to visiting in the summer time.
We stayed for a long weekend. The property was exactly as described. It was so peaceful, right on the bank of the Muskegon River. The hot tub on the deck was the perfect place to relax and appreciate the calm nature surroundings. The home itself was comfortable and functional. One of our favorite features was the couch. It was so comfy!
Excellent Up-North Getaway Spot, peaceful quiet and comfy! Loved it and hope to visit again in the summertime
Beautiful cabin near the river, with direct, private access to the river. The host responds very quickly. We enjoyed the cozy cabin. The environment was quiet and perfect for our family and our pet. We really enjoyed the hot pod. We cooked, and there was plenty of space in the refrigerator and on the stove. 30 minutes from the cabin, we found a park with hiking trails. After 45 minutes, we found perfect ski activities. We’d like to come back in the summer. We imagine the experience will be different and nice, too.
Beautiful home, perfect for a romantic getaway on the river
Amazing location for people who are looking for peace and quiet. Hosts were very responsive for any concerns.
Thank you, Kengo!
Had a relaxing stay and enjoyed close hiking trails
It was a great location with nature all around. The host was very nice and helpful.
Thank you!
The cabin was clean and cozy. Our dogs were right at home and loved exploring the woods across the road. Robert was very quick with all communication and of course the hot tub was a much needed added bonus. Will definitely be back!
This cabin in the woods was a perfect weekend getaway! We enjoyed a bonfire outside, a fire inside, a beautiful view, and ultimate peace and privacy. The hot tub was relaxing, the couch was cozy, and fishing in the river right from the property was a great bonus!
Thank you! :-)
Great peaceful spot on the Muskegon River. We had a great time kayaking and fishing. House has everything you need. Would recommend!
Thank you!
Amazing stay. Can’t wait to come back again with the pups
Family had a great time. Thanks
We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and quiet A-frame cabin. The river was clear and clean, perfect for tubing or kayaking, and made for such a relaxing experience. We saw plenty of birds and deer during our stay giving it the up-north feel. The check-in process was very easy, and the owner was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The cabin was listed for sleeping 10, but might feel a little tight for that many - our group of 6 was very comfortable. There's a nice grill and fire pit area for evenings outdoors. The yard is large with mature trees that provide plenty of shade, and loved that it's pet friendly! The path down to the river is a little steep, so it might be tricky for little ones or those with mobility issues. I would recommend bringing a table and chairs to put on the back porch, so you have a spot to eat meals or play games outside. There is also a nice beach area a little over a mile from the cabin, Crawford Park. You need a recreation passport to park there, but can tube or kayak to it. The trip was about 35 minutes on a kayak and about 50 minutes for a tube. It is a nice area for little ones to enjoy the river without all the large rocks or debris. Overall, it was a lovely and relaxing getaway spot!
Excellent stay!!
Nice place right by the river, we got to use two of the kayaks for a couple of days, peaceful and relaxing!
Summer getaway with my 3 sons. We went on a kayak adventure. Had a blast. Loved the view of the river. So peaceful.
Amazing stay, awesome hosts, would definitely book again!
Overall, we had a good time. The owner Robert was excellent at communicating with us and answering any questions before we even got to the property, which was nice. The refrigerator/freezer is huge, and held everything we needed for the weekend. We loved the fire pit, the view and relaxing nature sounds were amazing morning to night. My nephew caught two fish as big as his forearm right off the dock! If you’re looking to make a pot of coffee or open a bottle of wine and check out from city life, this is a very good place to do so.
Great cabin to relax by the river. True to description. Quiet setting.
Great location for a weekend away!
Fun A-frame on Muskegon River. Plenty of great activities like kayaking, grilling, board games, and bonfire'n! Will definitely be returning.
The property is beautiful, with priceless Muskegon river views.
My wife and I went here with our two dogs for our 4 year anniversary and the location was perfect. It was very peaceful and we are very happy that we were able to stay at this property and make memories.
Hi Joe, Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to host you for your anniversary! We hope you make it a yearly trip like many of our guests do! Robert
Stayed at this cabin for a few days to get away and it was perfect for me, really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved sitting on the deck viewing the river with a morning coffee and an evening beer. Owner was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond, really appreciated him sending me a text to let me know of some potentially dangerous incoming weather. Thanks, Robert!
This very secluded A-frame home was very enjoyable. The river view was fantastic and my group enjoyed a dip into it. Great hosting space!
Thank you, Kalan!
So peaceful. Dogs love it.
Dion, thank you so much for your continued patronage! I've lost count, but it has to be close to a dozen times now!
The cabin was great for a quick little private getaway. We enjoyed the location on the river and we're thankful for a quiet private place to take our dogs!
Thank you, Sarah!
Visited with my husband and our two large dogs - it is incredibly hard to find accommodations while traveling with our dogs due to their size and most places only accepting one dog up to 50lbs, so this cabin was a great find for us and was top tier for our needs for a three night stay. The property was beautiful and secluded, nicely kept and the host was very responsive throughout our stay. Would be a great place to bring friends and family for the weekend. We will definitely be back!
Great place to stay at
Thank you, Brian!
We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at the cabin and plan to come back during summer months sometime in the future to get more use out of the deck and firepit, and to kayak on the Muskegon. The couch was huge and very comfortable, we had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking, and really enjoyed having a wood fireplace to fire up on one of the nights. The only downside is that the mattresses, at least on the upstairs queen, aren't super comfortable so if you're middle aged and your back is happiest at home make sure to bring your foam roller w/ you for some morning stretches. Great hiking all around the cabin and we visited Four Leaf and Reed City Brewing and had some delish beers at both.
Thank you, Andrew!
We had a terrific stay in Sears! This is a lovely and well-kept location, easy to get to and very comfortable.
Thank you, Kirstin!
Great private get away for girls weekend.
Thank you, Karen!
House was super clean and cozy, and the host was a great communicator. Highly recommend.
Thank you, Michael!

Excellent place to stay. Quiet and peaceful.
Thank you... again!
Great private setting. Very responsive owner. Would recommend.
Thank you!
Absolutely! Here’s your revised review with that added touch: --- "A Perfect Remote Getaway – Even Better the Second Time!" This little piece of heaven was everything we were looking for—again! This was our second time visiting, and it was just as amazing as the first. The location is beautifully remote—just far enough to feel like a true escape, yet close enough to town when we wanted a bite to eat. The property itself is stunning, with a peaceful river flowing by that adds to the serene atmosphere. We spent a lot of time outdoors, soaking in the tranquility and making the most of the fire pit, especially in the winter. It was the perfect spot to stay warm and cozy while enjoying the fresh air. Inside, the home is just as welcoming and comfortable. There’s plenty of space to relax, whether you want to gather together or just unwind on your own. Plus, the amenities provided made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. We absolutely love this place and would come back time af
As always, thank you and see you again soon!
We loved our stay at this A-frame! We stayed in the winter and it was the perfect cozy spot for our book retreat. We used the fireplace and enjoyed the comfy pillows and cozy blankets!
Thank you, Hailey!
This was the perfect place for my husband, my dog and I. We enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful sightseeings. We saw a family of deer crossing the frozen river, which was a major attraction. Robert was great at addressing all my concerns and he even helped me use the fireplace! The house is cozy and spacious, with everything we needed to have a great stay.
Thank you!
The cabin was nice and clean. We were able to check-in early which we appreciate very much!!
Excellent and private and felt right at home.
Thank you!
Weekend away with my dog! Perfect place! Got to relax and not worry about a thing!
Thank you!
We loved the location of this place. The river access in the back is awesome and a must checkout for fishermen.
Thank you, Mariah!
Had a wonderful stay! The place was cozy, quiet, and the wood-burning fireplace was perfect. The host was also friendly and attentive.
Thank you!
Amazing place! Outside area is peaceful and river was a nice view! Definitely a great stay to be in the middle of nowhere!
Thank you!
Great stay, very quiet and easy to get to. Great escape from life where you can just kick back and relax. Lots of things to do if you like being outside or inside.
Thank you, Devin!
Incredible place, quiet, peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. There are houses nearby, but during our stay there was no one there and we enjoyed complete silence. We were happy to celebrate a birthday in your house, thank you very much for that.
Thank you, Dmytro!
Awesome place on the Muskegon River. So peaceful. Would have liked to stay longer.
Thank you, Dion!
very cozy and host is great
Thank you, Yostin!
Beautiful setting.
Mandy, Thanks again!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin on the river. It was restorative, peaceful, and relaxing. Our dogs had a great time playing in the snow. The deck and view out back is beautiful. The fireplace was perfect and we had a fire going all day. We ran into the local coffee shop every day for breakfast and lattes. Kaleidoscope Coffee in Lake is delicious and I would definitely recommend! We stopped for groceries on the way to the cabin, prior to checking out the cooking utensils situation. There are no cookie/baking sheets, so if you plan on making anything in the oven, just be aware. We improvised, but it wasn’t a big deal. Really loved this cabin for a getaway. It’s gorgeous in the snow and I imagine it’s beautiful in all seasons!!
Thank you!
Surroundings were quite beautiful! I chose a winter weekend and the snow coming down with the river in sight was incredible. I could see myself enjoying any season in this location. It was fun watching the flock of turkeys each day and even the bald eagle flying alongside the river. Would absolutely come back for more!
Nice spot, great location! Perfect for feeling off the grid without having to travel too far. Nice and clean.
Thank you Trevor! That's exactly what we love about these homes as well, just far enough away, but still convenient!
My husband and I loved our stay! The location is amazing, and absolutely gorgeous in the morning. The cabin is cozy, with plenty of things to do. We brought our dog, and he seemed to love it too. The yard is sandy, and it was raining, so his paws needed cleaned when coming inside pretty much every time. Be prepared with a towel! We had a wonderful time, and already want to come back!
Thank you for staying with us!
This place was incredibly peaceful. Came here for my husband’s birthday and he loved it. We enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and staying warm by the fire. I would totally recommend this place.
Hi Ola, Thank you so much for staying with us! Robert
The place was relaxing and peaceful and close to activities and owner very responsive
Thank you Robin!
We came in the middle of October. Just at the peak of the fall colors (Amazing) Great get away for me and my husband for our Anniversary. It is a pet friendly place so keep that in mind. Amazing views from all the window’s. Ample seating. Keep in mind this is an A Frame home with a bedroom located on the first floor and loft area with additional beds. The stairs will be small and steep. I couldn’t decide which was more relaxing, the water, falling leaves or the indoor fireplace. Great communication from our host. We got lucky and the neighbors weren’t home or close by. Truly a special place. (Stop and get bundles of wood and a lighter, before arriving) because you will not want to leave once you’re setting in. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did. Definitely recommend 5*****
Thank you for staying Sheila and the great reminders for future guests! Robert
Very peaceful & just what we wanted to escape too. Literally the best pillows I’ve ever slept on. I Will never forget this cabin because my boyfriend proposed to me on the dock !! Thanks Forest & Flow :)
Thank you for staying with us, Renee! We're glad we got to be a small part of your engagement!
It’s a great place to relax and slow down. The cabin is quiet and cozy, and the peaceful setting on the Muskegon River was beautiful. We spent time kayaking and swimming in the river, watching the pileated woodpeckers, and enjoying the clear night sky.
Hi Nick! Thank you for staying, this section of river is such a beautiful area with a gentle current and plenty of wildlife. We're glad the weather cooperated and you got some last minute fall swimming in! Thank you again, Robert
Nice quiet place to unwind and relax.
Hi Ronald! Thanks for staying with us! We really appreciated it!
Had a great stay. Very peaceful location. Host was responsive and very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you!
My family loved Robert's A frame cabin. Loved that we can bring our pup along she loved the woodsy surroundings. The river view is a big plus and the place offers kayaks if you want to use them. Robert's communication was great and instructions were crystal clear. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for privacy, relaxation and peacefulness.
Thank you for staying, Sergio!
The cabin was well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. We couldnt have asked for more. We would definitely stay here again!
Excellent venue for a quiet retreat. The house was comfortable, and the location was peaceful. Would love to have a few more nights there again.
Thank you, Daniel!
Great A-frame in the woods, on the river. Clear instructions and expectations set from host. Very responsive, professional and friendly. Highly recommend for any family or solo adventure looking for a peaceful stay on the Muskegon River.
Thank you, Andrew!
Robert was great. He checked in on us when we arrived and made himself available in the event we needed anything. Great little location off the beaten track.
Thank you Mike!
Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!
Thank you Carrie!
The house was great and cozy and the river was amazing for fishing, swimming, and kayaking/tubing. Thank you so much!
Thank you Jacob! Come back soon!
Beautiful, peaceful home away from home. Great location, it’s very peaceful, just as expected and not far from town. The home has all you need for a fun relaxing time on the river. The hosts are so kind and very responsive. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to come again.
Thank you so much, Graciela! We're glad to have had you make the trip! Come see us in the fall!
The photos listed were from the beginning of the year the host said. The carpet is stained, the shower is very dirty and moldy and my bed sheets had a very big stain on it. The river is not usable either. No where to launch a kayak or swim.
After checkout, Nathen requested a full refund for the cost of his entire stay. Some of the reasons for his refund request included stairs that might be dangerous to a child, which he did not have with him. Upon his report, we began investigating and reviewed the camera footage of his check in. Him and his guests were overheard saying how nice the home was while on the deck. We reached out to Nathen on the first night of his stay to ask him how he was enjoying the stay. He read the message that night, but never sent a response. We have a policy that we do not overly message guests, if they don't want to respond, that's fine. When he checked out, he did not even message us, just immediately put in a claim with airbnb for a refund of the entire amount. He sent photos of a stain on the sheets of an already slept in bed, a hardwater stain on a shower head, and a number of random photos that we could not tell what the issue was. We denied the claim and told Nathen that we do not give full refunds after a guest has completed their stay and did not message us or reply during the stay. He said we couldn't do anything about the issues so he wasn't going to even try. The issues he mentioned, including a stain on sheets or hardwater stain on the shower could have been fixed immediately. If there were in fact legitimate issues, we have full time staff in the area and could be there within 30 minutes to rectify the issues. I asked him for the photos to be emailed, so i could review the meta data and see when the photos were taken, just in case he was right. He did not send them and instead escalated the claim to airbnb. Airbnb reached out to us, asked if he made us aware of any issues, and we told them that he did not let us know of any issues until after his stay was complete. They then closed his claim. We continued to try and reach out asking if he could send the photos via email, if we're wrong and there's an actual issue we want to know, address it, and make it right. In his conversations with us, Nathan also mentioned that his stay was an "event", to which we replied that we do not allow events without prior authorization. He fumbled through some poor responses to try and back track. At 8:55 PM on Friday evening, Nathen disconnected the power and internet to our security system, disabling any further recording from our entry cameras.
This "A" frame waterfront cabin is comfortably rustic. It has a large deck that leads down to the firepit. Firewood is available in tons of places, so be sure to pick some up to enjoy the indoor fireplace and backyard firepit. The furniture compliments the cabin. The large sectional gave plenty of seating for our family of five. The log frame bed in the downstairs bedroom is very cute. The beds were firm and comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. The flow of the Muskegon River is very relaxing. There are kayaks available for use in the garage, which is nice and convenient. There is free wifi in the cabin, but it is weak and spotty. If you need wifi, you may want to bring your own hotspot. If you're looking for a waterfront camping experience with a comfy rustic feel, this is it. Great way to enjoy your time as a family.
Thank you so much, Lorie!
Highly recommend. Fun for all ages. Instructions and communication were very clear.
Thank you Erica!
very fun and peaceful
Hi Dom, Thank you for staying at our A Frame! We're glad you loved the space and amenities as much as we do! Robert & Team
Secluded, beautiful view and all necessary amenities
Thank you for staying with us!
Loved the privacy and the kayaking! Great walking trails nearby, got us excited to do more remote travels. Thank you!
Thank you David!
We had a great stay. Very peaceful and beautiful right in the river. The host was very prompt when we needed something and made sure our stay went great.
Thank you Kristen!
Great place for a weekend on the river!
Hi Rosalie, We're glad you loved your time on the river!
Wonderful, quiet stay with my partner and our two dogs! Exactly as described and pictured. We got some good cycling in too, which is always a plus!
Thank you Madison!
We had a great time here with our dog!
Thank you, and "woof woof" to the pup!
Had a wonderful time and would 100% book this location again
Thank you Chelsea!
Great location, beautiful A-frame, very peaceful - just what we wanted!
Thank you Tom!
Really enjoyed the place!
Thanks so much, Simon!
Our stay was very peaceful right on the river. The property looked just like the pictures and was exactly as described. We had a few small issues during our stay but the host was very responsive and helpful. I would stay here again but only during non summer time unfortunately, the summer pricing does seem a little high for what you get in my opinion!
Thank you, Maddy!
Perfect for a weekend getaway!
Hi Cassie, Thank you for staying! The Forest & Flow Team
I brought my 2 children and 2 dogs for a 5 night stay during Spring Break. It was just what I was looking for, it was peaceful and relaxing. It felt so secluded even though there were other cabins next door (they weren’t in use when we were there). The weather wasn’t great for us so we only got to use the fire pit once, I can imagine the summer would be a great time to visit. I had a couple small issues later on which were sorted promptly due to great communication from the hosts.
Thank you for staying! Michigan spring times can be hit or miss, but I'm glad you loved the home!
My little family and I had a great time at this location! The weather wasn’t the best but it was nice and cozy. Slept very well. Got bored and started raking the back yard because I do not have a yard to maintain. I also enjoy doing yard work. I will definitely be coming back in the future! It was nice to be at a place where I could bring my service dog with.
Hi Dani, Come back soon! The back yard thanks you for your service! Haha The Forest & Flow Team
Enjoyed the property. Was large enough to accommodate friends
We enjoyed our weekend trip here! There are cosmetic & general updates that could be made that would greatly improve the space but it was comfortable. The lighting inside is beautiful and the fireplace works amazingly. It is better than the listing looks in that category. The neighbors are close but for your views of the river out back you do not see anyone else. If you like firm pillows I would highly suggest bringing your own. It was very clean which I always appreciate!
Thank you for staying, Joanna! The Forest & Flow Team
A warm cozy place to retreat and get away from the hustle of life.
Thank you Randall! The Forest & Flow Team
Nice quiet place on the river.
Thank you!
Loved our stay there. :) Was struck by how simple and clean everything was, not over the top, crammed with tons of stuff we didn’t want, but they thought of everything we would need for our stay and I loved that.
Yes, exactly! Too much can take away from the stay, not add to it. We keep it nice, clean and organized... while still having charm!
Came for my Birthday Very peaceful and relaxing.. Stayed 2 nights. I would definitely come back again and recommend.
Happy Birthday!!!!
Such a cute place! we stayed a couple of nights during a dreary time of the year (this odd not wintery February) but still had a great time. I think no matter what time of year it would be peaceful to sit and watch the river, and there's a couple of nice spaces to watch from in the cabin as well. The neighbors are closer than depicted in the listing. Host was responsive and helpful.
Thank you for staying! I believe you can see the neighboring homes in the arial photos we provide. There are no neighbors across the river and just two on the street.
Great location for quiet get away. We found it easy to relax and disconnect from our regular everyday life. Even though we stayed during the winter it is a beautiful spot.
Thank you Alan! Come see us in the Spring or Summer as well to make use of the water activities!
It was an amazing place great view the network was very slow I really couldn’t watch anything but other than that no issues
Thank you Alex! Unfortunately, we're often at the mercy of these rural internet providers. Everything from the weather, to the number of people on the network can affect it.
Great place
Thank you Mustafa!
Staying here is definitely a place to get a way. We stayed during the winter, and the view took your breath away! We unfortunately cut our time short due to a huge snow storm, but Robert was so considerate to reach out to us and let us know it was coming. (We made the personal decision to leave) Robert answered within minutes, and was very friendly and understanding to talk to. I would recommend coming back and want to see it in the summer!
Thank you Donna!
Super comfy quiet cabin with a beautiful view! Amazing property with amazing hosts!
Thank you Quintin!
We had a very peaceful stay here and appreciate all of the amenities it provided. The river steps away, even in the dead of winter, was worth sitting by and listening to. Otherwise, the couch was amazing and provided space for us all! We recommend this place for a little escape. We will be back!
Thank you Kreagan!
Great place for some peace and quiet!
Thank you for staying! We appreciate you choosing us! Robert
We enjoyed our stay at this nice and cozy A-frame. It looks like a great spot at all times of the year.
Thank you William!
We really enjoyed our stay! We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway with our dogs and this place was perfect. Keep in mind that this is a remote cabin. The internet is spotty, there are not many amenities/toiletries provided, and you’re far from stores/activities. This is a great place to getaway and disconnect, so if that’s your goal, this place is perfect. We really enjoyed reading & playing games in front of the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped, and the view of the river was beautiful. In warmer weather, I think this would be the perfect place for kayaking too! Conclusion: If you want a quiet/cozy place to get away and disconnect, this simple cabin will not disappoint.
Thank you David! We appreciated the private feedback as well so that we can make those minor improvements in the spring!
Lovely place to sneak away from the city, can't wait to plan another trip back!
Thank you! We look forward to having you back!
A beautiful A-Frame home, nestled in the woods, set perfectly on the Muskegon River.
Thank you Chris!
Booked this place so I could have a quiet place to study for the week, definitely lived up to the pictures.
Thank you Jenna
We didnt want to leave!! Absolutely breath taking property, perfectly situated on a bend in the river. To wake up and walk onto the deck in the morning was a remarkable experience, we even saw a Bald Eagle flying down the river. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking, and having cozy fires (inside and out) for a romantic and truly memorable stay. Would love to escape to this A-frame again soon!
Place was wonderful, the trees and the river in the back was very peaceful. Me and my wife enjoyed every minute of it. Inside was clean and roomy, they don’t have a dryer or washer for clothes, but we managed and brought enough to last. Everything else was great. Would recommend 10/10
Thank you for staying! Yes, we have to do laundry off site because of the size and layout of the home!
This place is amazing! It’s such a peaceful and beautiful setting. We absolutely loved our stay, and we’re definitely planning to return here. The owner is great, too! He’s very flexible, kind, and helpful. He responds quickly and is very accommodating. We highly recommend this place.
Thank you Amanda!
Was great!
Thank you, Joe!
I did not see another human, lots of deer, the color of trees and the river were amazing
Fall is a special time in Northern Michigan!
It was decent, not much to do in the area. Very beautiful secenery
Hi Janey, Depending on what you're looking to do, there's plenty, or nothing... and that's kind of the point sometimes, right? The home is rural, and is a perfect escape from every day work and the hustle of city life.
Wonderful A frame by the river, the place was just as described and the host couldn’t have been more helpful. I had a few questions once I arrived and gave me a call to walk me through them. 5 stars all the way and thanks again for our peaceful stay!
Thank you for staying! I'm glad we were able to help answer your questions and give you an excellent experience!
We had a wonderful stay! it was very relaxing and peaceful, and the views of the river were perfect!
Hi Kayla, We love a good cup of coffee in the morning or adult drink in the evening to soak in the sounds of the river! We're glad it was perfect for you! Robert & Family
Amazing place, extremely quiet and private part of Sears Mi We had great time
Hello Dimitrije, We're always happy to hear of the adventures our guests get into! We're glad you enjoyed our home! Robert & Family
Stayed here for a quiet getaway with my family and our dogs and our stay was absolutely perfect. The scenery is so beautiful and it is extremely peaceful. The cabin was very cozy and we felt right at home here! Everything was great, even the linens were very soft and comfortable. Robert was very helpful and responsive with any questions that I had, and he made sure we had what we needed. I would recommend this place for sure 10 out of 10. We will definitely be coming back again soon!
Thank you Alex! We appreciate you staying!
Great place to stay for the night. Quiet peaceful getaway on the river. Would definitely come back!
We appreciate you staying with us!
our experience was great. clear instructions and beautiful area.
Thank you, Andrew!
Such a lovely place. Was everything I didn’t know I needed. Was a little surprised at how close neighbors were, but that was the only thing I would’ve changed. I would absolutely come back ❤️
Thank you Brittany!
Beautiful place to stay.
Thank you Brenda!
This rental was a really beautiful location, we had such a nice time just sitting on the dock and looking out over the river. We could spot a few herons and even an eagle! We also enjoyed the fire pit and relaxed around the fire every night we were there. Our dog enjoyed swimming in the river and we took the kayaks for a paddle. The kitchen was small but reasonably stocked with equipment. There were some towns not too far for groceries, restaurants, and an ice cream place. There were neighbors closer than it seemed like from the photos but they were friendly. The WiFi doesn’t work great so definitely plan on analog activities. The host is very responsive and helpful. Overall we had a really nice stay!
Hi Rebecca, Thank you for staying! The firepit area is a great way to relax at the end of the night! You're right, wifi can be a little spotty, unfortunately our options are limited being rural to either cellular or satelite and this is the best of the options! Some days it's flawless, others it can drop frequently.
Perfect little getaway, the house looks just like the photos, super cute. Loved being able to fish and kayak in the river… it was a bit on the cooler side for our stay, but they also provide tubes to float down the river as well, which would have been amazing. It was my first time kayaking the Muskegon river, it’s super sandy and soft and beautiful, hardly any rocks… it would be nice to float/swim down for sure. There’s a cute pick up area/beach only a few minute drive from the house or about a 20 minute walk… which made things super convenient. The host was also very quick to reply with this information when I asked about pickup points for the kayaks. It was also our first time taking our 7 month old son on a trip, this property made it a perfect first trip for all of us.
HI Stephany, thank you for staying and the private feedback! Don't worry about the bedding, that's just helpful and we're not the type of hosts who get stuck on little details! We are just gad you loved staying with us and we hope you'll be back soon!
Stunning river views! My husband and two kids ages 3 & 6 booked a last minute end of summer adventure and we got everything we needed out of our stay. Bonus we got to bring our dog! A relaxing place with enough to keep the kids busy for a couple days. The home was on a quiet road. We loved the little dock overlooking the river. Our kids loved kayaking, fishing, driving RC cars and riding their electric bikes up and down the dirt road. The host was very responsive and helped us find where to park for our kayak trip. The only downside was there wasn't a safe way to enter the river for my young kids. The rocks were slippery for the kids and dog. However we took them to a little boat launch around the corner (less than a mile) that was perfect for them to explore in. They loved having their own space in the loft and the secret lookout room. Only complaint is the stairs to the loft are pretty steep, not recommended for toddlers or elderly. My toddler fell a few times! Overall, glad we came.
We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay here. We brought our two dogs and they also seemed to have a great time. Our younger dog was able to get in the river for some swimming, which is his favorite thing to do. Our older dog really enjoyed laying on the dock above the water. We saw some eagles fishing which was cool to see as well. We had some really great breakfast take out at Lamplighter Cafe in Evart. KC’s party store in Evart was the closest place nearby that had firewood available and they had a number of other convenient items. We would stay here again in the future.
Thank you Megan!
Had a lovely stay, just gorgeous over the river. Didn’t get to kayak or tube but want to next time! Beautiful property and great views.
It was so beautiful and peaceful. It was everything we were looking for and then some!
It was perfect for our family getaway. Clean beautiful river for the family to fish in. The home had everything we needed and plenty of room for the family ( family of 6 ) to gather around at the end of the night to play games.
Hi John, We appreciate your stay! I'm glad you loved the river access and room to reconnect with the family! Welcome back soon!
Overall, this property was great. It was very peaceful, but nice knowing there were neighbors and other people around. There’s a little town (Evart) about 15 mins away with bars & restaurants. We loved that the host provided tubes and kayaks. The pictures looked like the real thing. Only complaint would be the wifi was not the best , so it was hard for the group to sit around and watch a movie because it would buffer every few minutes. And also, the beds were not the comfiest, but we made it work.
Hi Bailey, Thanks so much for staying with us. We love the area, it's secluded, while also having everything you need nearby. Rural internet is one of the biggest challenges. There's no "cable" supplier, so everything is either satellite or cellular based. Neither are great options.
Lovely cabin along river. beautiful quiet woodlands, though others not too far away.. Cozy, clean, comfortable cabin. Exactly what we were looking for.. peaceful, relaxing, re-charging sort of place.. Thank you.. look forward to staying again..
Had a wonderful and relaxing stay in this charming house on the river! Very quiet and peaceful! Would stay here again!
Beautiful cabin, great location. The view to the river was breathtaking every morning (and all the time). Weather was a bit chilly but that’s nature. Still great place, super comfy sofa. Cabin looks small from the outside but definitely big enough for 10 guests. Good for a weekend of relaxation with friends. Would definitely look forward to book it again to enjoy a different season of the year. The hostess was friendly and was ready to answer any questions. Communication was great 😊.
Quick to reply, clear instructions
Thank you for staying!
Our weekend trip was wonderful. The property and river was beautiful and relaxing. Robert was a great commutator and helped facilitate there being enough tubes and kayaks for 7 people. However, the photo with 8 kayaks was misleading because we were charged an additional fee to move enough kayaks to the property.
Hi Matt, I'm glad you had a great experience! I'm sorry that the photo was misleading, I can see why you thought that. In our description, we mention that we provide 4 kayaks. Sometimes there are more, other times there are less, but we always guarantee 4. Because we own other properties, we are able to move unused kayaks from one unit, to another, to help our guests. We don't move the kayaks back unless they are needed at another location. We do charge for the additional labor of our staff if we have to move extra kayaks from one location to another, but we try to maintain a very reasonable cost for this.
Wanted to get away for the night and listen to the river run. My husband and dog Hank enjoyed a dip in the river. Was a very peaceful evening and the bugs were not too bad. The place is perfectly set up for a little getaway
Hi Kim, Bring Hank back soon. He's a good boy and deserves another river dip! Robert
My partner and I had a great time, we would definitely come back and recommend this home to friends and family. It is a great place to stay especially if you want somewhere quiet. Host is very friendly, flexible with check in/out, and responds quickly!
Thank you Andrea! See you again soon!
We had a great time here. The A-frame is gorgeous and so is the area. The host was responsive to every question we had and provided us with lots of amenities. Looking forward to spending time here again!
Thank you, Yvonne!
The host was super responsive and helpful. Great communication and would stay here again.
Thank you, Neil! Welcome back anytime!
Great stay! Clean and organized place, has all you need, and a very responsive host. Totally recommended!
Thank you Ramy!
Cute place! Thanks!
Thank you for staying and we're so glad you had a great time!
This was a great stay, the home was very clean and cozy. Felt like we were right at home. Our host was awesome and very helpful and responded very fast with anything we needed. We will definitely book again next time we come out to Michigan!
Thank you David!
The house was super cute but needs some updating. The location is amazing! BBQ grill is old, Furniture needs some updating and we did not get Wifi info ( emailed the owner twice with no response). Outdoor is beautiful right on the river. Outdoor would be even better of they had a table. We went to a store and bought one for ourself.
Beautiful property right on the water, very clean perfect location for rock hunting all around! Wonderful hosts!
This cabin was perfect for us. It was right on the river so we fished most of the weekend. We were allowed to have our dog who loved it as well. It was cozy and quiet with every kind of bird you can imagine. Would definitely recommend and stay again as well. Robert, our host, was wonderful and quick to respond too. Thank you!
Enjoyed my stay! Great outdoor activities and I would definitely come back again!
Thank you for staying, we're glad you got to enjoy all the great outdoor activities in the area!
the place was nice and the host was great.
Thank you Victor, we appreciate your stay and I'm glad the home worked out for you and your guest!
This was a very calming stay on the river. I came just after winter for two days. It wasn’t that cold but the trees were not yet full like in the picture. Still it was very peaceful and the place is very good and had everything even more then what is written in the description. All kitchen needs are there like plates bowls spoons forks microwave toaster coffee machine oven electric stove fridge pots and pans cutting board. Also a fire place outside and inside and a grill outside. I would recommend to bring your drinking water though. There is a TV and internet. The internet was fast during the day and slow in the evening I dont know why or maybe that is just my luck. They have extra sheets and pillows and also toiletries towels and tissues. It is a good place.
Hi Zain, Thanks for staying! I know it was that ugly transition time when the trees are still bare, and the ground is wet and muddy but I am glad you were able to enjoy the time away!
it was a great place to stay and I had a wonderful time and had alot of great views of the river.
Hi Jacob, Thanks again for staying! We're glad you enjoyed yourself! Robert & Team
Perfect stay for my fiancé, dog and I. Extremely communicative host! He let us know the water was up but it just made the scenery even better. Great place for a weekend getaway and bonfires. We plan on staying again!
Thank you Jeff! We certainly want our guests to know about any positive or negative impacts to their stay, we're glad it worked out for you!
Overall, had an enjoyable weekend. Robert was proactive in communicating the river overflowed and flooded the yard. This definitely changed our plans for entertainment as the first day, doing anything outside was almost impossible. Robert helped us find alternate entertainment (bowling) and by the following day the sun helped by things so we were able to grill and roast marshmallows. We appreciated the heads up as we were able to stop for rain boots which allowed the kids to stomp in puddles. Couch is nice a large and there are numerous streaming options so watching movies was easy. House is “rustic” so expect to see an ant or two and first floor bed is very firm. I’m better weather I think the experience would’ve been even better but overall, everyone enjoyed.
Thank you Violette! I'm so glad we were able to make your experience a great one for you and your family! We're taking your feedback seriously and adding some games and additional experiences to our properties for those rainy days!
Peaceful and serene location with the Muskegon River in your backyard. My husand and I stayed for an extended weekend with our 3 chesapeake bay retrievers, who loved exploring the property and even took a dip in the river. Highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I came up to get away from things for a few days. The house felt like home away from home which was nice. There was a little worry over the heat, but there was a space heater provided which worked really well. Robert had great communication which was helpful and appreciated. The sectional in the living area was very comfortable and placed well to enjoy the fireplace as well as the television. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to go back in the warmer months to try our luck at fishing again.
Beautiful place! The river and view made it! Nothing to complain about. Large clean bathroom and soft sectional in living. Helpful things like a head hear flashlight hanging at the door. Lots of space for a family. Owner was great to communicate w. Would definitely come again.
Robert was really helpful with everything. The place was really cozy, peaceful, and secluded. Beautiful in the winter and I imagine amazing in the summer.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the view of the river is beautiful! Which was the main reason we had picked the cabin and it did not disappoint! With all the snow we weren't able to walk out to the river but didn't need to, the view is basically unobstructed and easily enjoyed from the living room. Ideal for winter relaxation! Including that the couch is now a huge comfy sectional positioned in front of the fireplace. From the description we were unsure if all the bedrooms were located upstairs so it was nice to find that the main bedroom is on the ground floor. We also have to say that Robert is an exceptional host! Our reservation ended up complicated and Robert went above and beyond to help us and was always very personable, courteous and quick to respond both by phone and email.
Thank you so much! You were great guest and we home to have you back soon! Glad you liked the new sectional! It's a perfect lazy day addition! Robert
This cozy A-frame is a true treasure right on the Muskegon River. We had great communication with Robert the whole time and can’t wait to stay again.
We had a great stay with our family. It was a nice secluded area with lots of room for our dogs to run around. It was nice to get away and unplug for a while.
There is no one that enjoys our properties, more than doggos. If you want to give your pup a great experience, come book a weekend and let them run!
This was a great place off the beaten path and amazing scenery right on the river! Robert is very quick to reply! Thanks for a great stay and I will be back!
Thanks Adam!
Very peaceful, we didn't see a single soul, which was very serene. We did hear a woodpecker in the distance. Very cozy.
Cozy and peaceful.
Thank you Leah!
My wife and I decided to take a quick getaway for the weekend and this cozy little place was our destination. When we arrived we found just as beautiful a place as we saw in the pictures. Instead of the luscious trees we found a winter wonderland, being that we arrived in December. We managed to enjoy the beautiful outdoors by using the fire pit both nights. We spent countless hours by that fire pit, watching the lazy river in front of us and chatting the nights away. We will definitely save this place in our list of quick getaways in Michigan. Thank you for having us .
We had a relaxing weekend at Robert’s place and everything was especially beautiful in the snow! The house was clean, well organized and even more charming than the pictures. Robert was a perfect and friendly host with clear instructions and very timely responses. We’re looking forward to coming back throughout the year as a regular getaway.
Very cute and cozy cabin for a little getaway. I spent a couple nights there with my dog and we enjoyed the stillness, privacy and fireplace. About an hour drive to the nearby national forest
The place cozy serene, loved the fire!! Loved we had beautiful scenery. It very convenient that TV has great connectivity also.
I will describe this place as a cozy getaway. We got the chance to spend a few days here with our two dogs and they love it. The communication with Robert was excellent, we'll come back for the summer.
Hi Karla, Thanks so much for the stay and we're glad you had a wonderful anniversary!
Our stay was awesome. Just what we needed and expected. Very good communication with Robert. He responds quickly and makes sure all is well. Love the fireplace! I will recommend to friends and family and we would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I went in October and it was absolutely gorgeous. The property is perfect and very easy to get to. The house is cozy and has the basics. Would definitely recommend.
Great spot to getaway to! Looking forward to staying here gain.
A wonderful surprise my fiancé and our 2 dogs had staying in Roberts home. The communication with Robert was amazing and quick with questions we had. The river stream was beautiful and our dogs loved the space and also we saw a pair Bald Eagles which was awesome coming from the City of Chicago to there it was beautiful to see. The area was quiet and relaxing. Parking was super easy and everything you need in a kitchen they had. No doubt we will be coming back for Winter.
This property is so beautiful! We visited in early October and the fall color was stunning. We enjoyed taking our dogs for walks down the dirt road in the leaves and spending evenings watching movies on the nice TV. The Airbnb has everything you’ll need. It was a really nice time and we’d like to visit again!
Cozy A-Frame on the peaceful Muskegon river. Home is well maintained and clean. It was just the two of us but this place easily sleeps 6.
great stay and great place
This is an amazing little spot and a charming little camp or cabin. I love the camp like feel to the place and yet everything needed for comfort is taken care of. It’s a beautiful setting on the water and off the beaten path which I always enjoy!
Thank you Theresa!
The owners were clear and responsive communicators, which is always much appreciated. A beautiful, peaceful spot, right on the river. A true retreat!
We had a great time with the kids and dog! Very cozy and comfortable cabin. Has everything you need. We will back in the future!
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is perfect. The cabin was cozy and the views of the river were so peaceful. We wanted to get away and unplug, and we couldn’t have picked a better place.
Roberts cabin was perfect for me and my 6&5 year olds! My kids loved the huge backyard filled with frogs and wildlife so much! I booked it to fish and they ended up spending more time frog hunting and enjoying making campfires. We brought some tubes and got them across to the very shallow water and beached them while we watched fish swim around us and hung out in the water for a couple hours. The kids hung out on the rocks of the bank and caught a couple crayfish which was also fun. Basically, I had some things planned for us to do (horseback riding and Canadian Lakes) and we cancelled everything and only left the house to get pizza and ice cream from the local gas station because they just wanted to play in the yard, lol. The house itself is spacious and clean and in the woods, yet still have cabins in proximity of you that I felt safe. We all sleep great. Robert was a great host and super quick to respond to all my messages!! Thank you for everything and according to my kids we will be back!!! 😊
Great place, great location
beautiful setting! perfect place for a couple, family or small group! it even comes with numerous kayaks at a very reasonable additional charge! and such a joy to find a pet friendly spot! thank you again robert!
It is a gorgeous spot on the river. We saw a bald eagle and many other birds. So fun to explore!
Quiet location right on the river. Robert has great communication and made it easy to stay.
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the river!
Great place with a great view. Everything we could have asked for
Hi Jacob, Thank you and your wife for spending a couple of nights at our place for late night bonfires and all day golfing! I hope you were able to keep your score low, or cheat without anyone noticing! -Robert
Great place to unplug overlooking the river very quiet with fresh air.
I'm glad you, the wife and the dog were able to spend some riverside time with us! Come on back soon!
We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. It was very clean and right on the river which was nice and secluded! The only things that weren’t great is that the TV wouldn’t work without a mutual wifi connection, so we couldn’t watch anything or really do anything on the night it rained. There also wasn’t any pots or pans available to cook with so we had to go to the store and buy our own. Other than that there was alot of space, checking in/out was seamless and communication with the owner was great and quick!
Hi Jessica, I'm sorry about the TV not working. I'll take full responsibility for this! You were the first guests staying here with this brand new TV and I unfortunately thought it would work without any setup. The TV has since been added to our network and we have it all connected. You were one of our first guests at this property, and we knew there were some details missing! Thank you for letting us know about the pots and pans, we missed this and already have delivery of some brand new Calphalon stainless steel pots and pans!
Such a serene setting. Our six year old daughter described it as "paradise". We will definitely search for more of Robert's properties in the future.
Katrina, I've already quoted your daughter to other guests. As a dad, impressing my kids is the number 1 thing I try to do. I'm so glad she thought it was "paradise". -Robert

ROAM Management
We manage homes across the country, and we run each one like a storefront, not a listing. We stay in these towns ourselves — we dine in the restaurants, hike the same trails, and know which lake is worth the early start. The same team answers the phone, checks the house, and sets the rate.
