Lakeside Lodge Retreat

We had a nice stay at this property. There was plenty of room and beds for our group of 16, and the extra long dining table worked great for group meals. The deck overlooking the lake is the star of the show, however several of the deck chairs are broken and unusable. The home also does not have central air, so plan to bring fans if you’re staying during the summer months. There is a window unit in the large bunk room, and that particular room stayed cool as long as we kept the door shut. Also, while there was plenty of space to park, it was a fairly long trek from the parking area to the front door. The parking area is elevated higher than the house, so the walk up and down the slippery hill carrying all of the food and supplies was a bit treacherous and exhausting. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the weekend.

Pictures on listing are a bit flattering and we were not able to use the hot tub and it was not warm and took too long to heat up…but cool house with unique character and location.

Beautiful property with lots of amenities to enjoy! The back porch was a bit dirty due to some overhanging trees around the property, but the inside was very clean and well kept. The host is very quick to respond if you run into any issues or have questions about where to find things. The backyard is massive and great for large groups who enjoy yard games. The hot tub was very clean, and the kayaks were also in good condition. Overall, a fantastic stay that I would highly recommend.

Awesome space for a large group. Plenty of beds, large kitchen, and a huge yard for activities. We enjoyed the lake during the day, the bonfires at night, and the peaceful, quiet mornings. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for fun weekend getaway.

Had a get together with 15 people. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. Lots of outdoor space to hang out and relax. Big yard with a nice fire pit. Very large kitchen table was nice and could fit most of us at the same time. Everyone had a great time, would recommend.

This property was amazing! We hosted an undergraduate student org retreat here and it was perfect and spacious and cozy. The host was communicative, flexible, and very kind 😁 We made so many amazing memories here. ALSO -- the stars at night are absolutely unbeatable! What a lovely Airbnb!

This home was perfect for our retreat! It was beautiful, clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and set in a stunning location on a gorgeous lake. I would highly recommend this home for a group. Everyone that attended this weekend had the best time. I loved the access to kayaks and canoes, the large lawn area with a fire pit, so many areas to sit on the patio and deck, and the hot tub. Inside was so cozy with the knotty pine walls and comfy furniture. The kitchen was huge and well stocked offering plenty of seating. Our group with make this our yearly retreat location!

Very nice stay for our large annual group outing. Enough space to have personal space. Big yard for games and things to do. Kayaking and Canoe were nice touches. Pleasant and quiet lake.

Beautiful home and location. We had a large group during the winter and everyone had a great time. The house was large enough that we never felt crowded or on top of each other. We would definitely stay again, it was fun in the winter and we bet it’s amazing in the summer.

This place was perfect for our large group of women! We brought extra tables and chairs allowing for all of us to sit together to dine. Besides a few cosmetic things, which we informed the owners about, this place is awesome! I’d love to check it out in the summer! We also loved the heart behind the place, and the reason for its name “The Lily Pad.” We hope all future groups will be blessed by this place as well! Fabulous communication, too!

We were looking for a great location to stay overnight with a group of 18 high school kids the night before a big tournament. We were looking to do some team building activities and have some fun together after a long two weeks of tryouts. This place was absolutely perfect to create a memorable experience that helped us come together as a team. The pool table, the gaming console, the kayaks/canoe, the huge kitchen table, the huge couches in the living room, the giant back deck overlooking the lake - it was an amazing place for fun and relaxation. I highly recommend this house if you have a large group looking to spend quality time together.

We loved this place. So much room. Kids tried kayaking for the first time and loved it. Great view of the water and stars at night by the fire. So much seating on the decks. Has everything you could need. We even played hid n seek for a few hours with our teen girls too, lol. Doggy was able to go also, he had a blast too. We would love to come back again.

all and all. an overall great stay. could use a few outside updates like the paint on the railings. and the hot water pressure in the showers. Would I go again certainly. It was an Amazing Home. The wood finish was beautiful. when I say if you knew better you will pick this home everytime lol Jey Forest let me be your spokesperson and film live. I bet you would triple in sales. sometimes it's anout going back to the basics. Showing the humility side that pictures just can't capture. Think about it 🤔 lol. however I have probably taking up to much of your time. Like I said amazing home👏 Can't wait to do it again when finances permits......

Great communication from host. Beautiful, relaxing and private location. We loved spending our time on the lake and caught many pike, bluegill and largemouth bass.

My friends and I came here for my birthday. The vision was cabin getaway up north and that it was! This place was a dream for us, so big and yet so cozy! Stacy was an amazing host and replied quickly and with kindness. We hope to stay here again bc it was simply magical! Also loved that it was 4/20 friendly!

The communication with the property manager was impeccable. She was able to help check out late. The home is perfect for a large family. Hot tub definitely nice to sit and relax in. With the fall color it was so pretty. Plenty of deck space to smoke a cigar and relax. Dont hesitiate!

First and foremost the place is awesome and the owner is a really cool and caring guy. He was readily available to assist with some technical issues and did what he could without hesitation to make the stay a great one. Property was great. The description is thorough but really doesn’t do the place justice. It over delivers on that side. Great option if wanting a getaway out in the sticks. Not much for nightlife and the locals will remind you of that lol. Neighbors were odd. Not all that outgoing(lot of stares and not so many reciprocated hellos). Property manager will warn you of a sheriff nearby and quiet hours starting at 9. Not sure what that was about but we were respectful. If you want to party till the break of dawn with the windows open or have some rowdy friends, you might want to save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

This was a great place to stay! Owner was very sweet. When a previous renter left some issues Stacy contacted me right away letting me know what was happening, what she was doing about and offered some different solutions. She was accommodating with our large group and various combinations of people each night. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful, relaxing getaway or a more fast paced adventure!

The house was vey clean and well maintained and many necessities were available, like soap, paper towels, linens , etc. There was plenty of room for 14 of us ranging from grandparents to teenagers to an infant, with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Communication with Stachia, the property manager was good; she was very responsive and tried to resolve a few issues that came up. The lake is small but very quiet during the week and the fishing was wonderful off the dock and from a boat. We would choose this home again!

This house is a true gem that cannot be missed. The property is far more spacious than it appears and can comfortably house at least twenty people (we had thirteen in our party but could easily have fit more). There are plenty of games available and outdoor activities around the site, making our stay in an otherwise remote location pleasant and fun every day and night. The property managers are exceptionally kind and very responsive, making our holistic experience of the property truly worthwhile. Stay (our host) was gracious enough to suggest day trip options that our group enjoyed, and we appreciated her willingness to answer any questions we had via text or on the phone. This cabin is a steal given all the amenities afforded, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We expect this property to be booked consistently given its appeal, but if you see it available, take it.

Very clean, nice appliances and a beautiful view of lake. Enjoyed the fishing from the dock. Plenty of room for 7 adults, 6 kids, and 2 dogs. Very quiet on the lake the week we were there. Not really a swimming lake for kids, but compensated with other activities and fishing.

Oh how I wish we could relive our stay here! Our group was large (Grandma treated all the kids and grandkids to an awesome long weekend) and there was plenty of room for the whole gang! There were more than enough places to lounge and relax both indoors and out, and plenty of sleeping accommodations at night when we needed to rest up for the next day's adventures. There was something for everyone, young and old, whether we were buzzing around on the jet ski, or relaxing on a pontoon cruise or a paddle around on the kayaks. Todd Lake may be small, but traffic was minimal, so it worked out great. We enjoyed big family meals around the table, various fun and games, and soothing soaks in the hot tub. Most importantly, both the property manager and caretaker were available at a moment's notice to answer any questions. We only had a couple tiny criticism/suggestions: though the kitchen was large and well stocked, a dishwasher would be great! And there wasn't a drop of gas in either the boat or wave runner. Usually, when you rent a pontoon., it's filled up when you arrive. But other than a couple burned out light bulbs, we have no complaints! Loved it!! And would highly recommend it to a big family looking for a great #puremichigan getaway! Thanks so much!

My favorite part about this property is how peaceful it feels as it over looks Todd Lake. A small lake yet beautiful and calm. A great location to kayak and canoe- which we did a lot of! Or simply soak up the view from the deck as you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. If you like to fish or you have kids who love to fish it doesn’t get any better than this! Our kids fished their hearts out from sun up to sun down. (Fishing tip: we discovered the fish in Todd Lake prefer worms). Aside from the lake the house itself was very clean! It was plenty big enough to comfortably accommodate our three families and it had all the amenities one can think of. The host, Stacy, is not only a fabulous host, but she has thought of everything and it shows. My favorite part about my entire experience was working with Stacy. During our stay we hosted my dads memorial and Stacy was so helpful and gracious from the beginning booking stages to the very end of our stay. I really can’t recommend this property enough. Rather you are looking to spend time with family or host a small event this is the spot to do it!!

My husband and I recently got married at this property. We had a small ceremony in the morning and BBQ in the evening with our closest family and friends from Grand Rapids and Detroit. My husband and I, as well as our guests thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house was large but still had a very cozy/cabin feel. It's a beautiful home with more than enough activities to do for adults and children. If you want to relax, this is the place for you too! It was nice to sit on the deck with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy listening to the birds and water. We had a rental company from Reed City deliver additional tables and chairs which we set up on the deck. Guests mingled on the deck and then all transferred to the living room or bonfire to warm up at night. We purchased food and everything we needed prior to arriving. However, we ended up having to purchase some additional items. We were happy to find out that their was a convenience store 8 minutes away! Would we stay here again and do it all over? Absolutely! The team that manages this property were fantastic - extremely helpful and communicated well. The whole atmosphere was quiet and serene and we couldn't have chosen a better place to tie the knot!
