The location

Directions via GPS other mapping services can be tricky because of the location, but we have plenty of information for you to make sure you start your trip out, stress free!

There is plenty of parking available for your vehicles and trailers if you're bringing any offroad toys along with you.

As always with rural homes, we recommend you download "offline maps" to deal with potentially spotty coverage along the way.

EVENTS & USAGE

We get frequent requests from guests to use our homes for weddings, family reunions, bachelor / bachelorette parties, camping, or other large gatherings. Many of these types of events are high-impact and can affect future guest stays, so we carefully manage them.

If this is something you are looking for, please reach out to us prior to booking. Deposits, event fees, and other conditions may be required based on the event type, size and request. Should a booking be made prior to a mutual agreement on any additional requirements for the event, our standard cancelation policy will apply.

In the event your preferred dates are already taken, or you are traveling with a larger group, please view our other listings or reach out to us as we provide numerous rental options in the region.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

For an additional fee, we can provide concierge tailored services for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays or weddings.

🔨 A handyman is available for minor to moderate repairs, 24/7/365.
🔧 Professional services are available for major repairs, 24/7/365.
🧹 Cleaning services can be performed mid stay for guests who want a hotel experience for an additional cost.

PET-FRIENDLY HOME

We are a dog (only) friendly home, but maintain a few rules and regulations regarding this. All dogs must be controlled either through a physical leash or with verbal commands so that the dog returns to the owner when necessary. Dogs and owners should both respect the boundaries of the properties and the neighbors use and enjoyment of their own. Guests should ensure that there is no pet waste left in the yards, and all waste is bagged up and removed. Do not leave any animals in the home unattended or uncrated under any circumstance. The home is limited to two dogs, and there may be a fee for these dogs. Guests should thoroughly clean up any shedding or excess fur which may be left in the home so that our cleaning team has a normal turnover without excess or unscheduled work. While we do make every effort to ensure a perfectly clean home, small amounts of fur may be present in the air, settle on the floors or surfaces or may not have been reachable under furniture... an expected, but unfortunate byproduct of being pet friendly.

NO SMOKING INSIDE

All of our homes are exclusively no-smoking, of any kind, inside the home. Cigarettes and marijuana are incredibly potent smells for non-users and can have a negative impact on future guests. Evidence of a guest smoking in the house, including the attestment of our cleaning team, will result in a cleaning fee of up to $500.00 to change furnace filters, ozone remediate the air, clean duct work, and clean hard and soft surfaces.

DISCLOSURES

Our homes feature many amenities which might be seasonally available or would be considered outdoor recreational items. We make every effort to ensure that these items are available for use and in good condition, but mother nature and our previous guests also play a roll in our ability to do so. Items like outdoor furniture, grills, kayaks, canoes, yard games, fire pits and patios are cared for by our team but are stored outside in the elements. There may be leaves, dirt or debris on these outdoor items, and some may have limited use depending on the season and weather patterns. Other items may have experienced use or abuse by previous guests and were not reported as damaged or broken to us, limiting our ability to repair or replace them. As with all short term rentals, our homes can experience wear and tear at an accelerated rate due to heavy use from our guests. We strive to keep our homes fresh and schedule repairs and maintenance as quickly as we can. You may experience new items at our homes that replaced items from our photos which may have been worn or damaged.

The home is located in a natural setting. Guests may encounter native flora and fauna commonly found in the area, including but not limited to mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, bees, wasps, ants, poison ivy, poison oak, raccoons, squirrels, deer, snakes, birds, and other wildlife. While the property is regularly maintained, the presence of plants, insects, and animals cannot be completely prevented. Guests are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when enjoying outdoor areas, including using insect repellent, wearing appropriate footwear, supervising children and pets, and avoiding contact with unfamiliar plants or wildlife. By booking this home, guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with staying in a natural environment.

Exterior maintenance services, including but not limited to lawn care, landscaping, pest control, snow removal, and trash services are essential to maintaining the quality and function of the home and surrounding land. Many of these services are scheduled on a weekly or monthly basis and may require the service provider to alter their planned date and time to work within past, current, or future weather conditions. As such, services may be performed during a guests’ stay.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return, either to this cabin or another of the host's properties. The cabin was well stocked. Even without A/C, it stayed surprisingly cool, and the hot tub worked perfectly. The river was beautiful with clear, refreshing water, though the rocky entry makes water shoes a good idea. The location was great, about 20 minutes from anything you might need. The host was communicative and let us know about pre-existing damage before arrival. We did find a yellow jacket nest and had to buy four extra cans of spray beyond the one provided. The outdoor trash can was already over half full, so we ended up taking a bag home. While exploring, my husband also cleaned up broken glass and other debris from the yard because we believe in leaving places better than we found them. Especially beautiful properties like this so other families can enjoy making memories here too. We loved the wild life. My pup had so much fun. Overall we loved our stay here.

Our Airbnb cabin was absolutely wonderful—cozy and inviting, making it the perfect retreat. We loved having the kayaks right there, which made exploring the nearby waters so easy and fun. The hot tub was a fantastic way to unwind after a day of adventure, and the back deck quickly became our favorite spot to relax, soak in the peaceful surroundings, and enjoy the fresh air. It truly felt like a little slice of paradise! Roger that, a perfect getaway indeed!

We rented this cabin for the night for my brother’s bachelor party. This place was perfect. Lots of sleeping locations, multiple bathrooms, and multiple showers. The area was very peaceful, the cabin was huge, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved it. We wish we could have stayed more nights! We are thinking of making it a tradition to come back every year to celebrate the fun time we had.

We came and stayed mid week. We really enjoyed the home all together. The river was really pretty. I fished and caught a couple of large mouth bass. The girls enjoyed the clean hot tub and it was really nice to have all the outdoor space on the deck and the fireplace area also. I would recommend this place for families of 4 or more because of all of the beds and bathroom availability. I would rent this home again and would recommend it to my friends also. Thanks again for being available for our questions upon arrival, we appreciated that very much.

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for our group. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the whole process very easy. We especially enjoyed spending quality time together and appreciated the peaceful, quiet location. Having the river just below the property was a wonderful bonus. Part of our group really enjoyed fishing, and we all had a great time kayaking. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Thank you for your hospitality. We would be happy to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this bnb the location and views are amazing. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing getaway. Overall the home was clean but there was some trash left behind in various spots and the linens were left in the dryer. The hosts were very responsive and friendly when we addressed these issues and assured they would be worked out with the cleaning crew. Overall our stay was enjoyable and relaxing and I would consider booking here again!

Had a Father’s Day stay here with our half a year old son and had a great time. A lot of space, I would recommend brining more people than 3 but it’s a great quiet family stay and we were able to cook and enjoy the amenities they listed without any issues!

Laura G.South Bend, Indiana
June 2026

We had a great stay here, even with some dreary weather. The pictures don't do the view from the patio justice, everything is lush and peaceful going down to the river. I did not expect that there would be houses so close on either side, but it wasn't a problem as we barely saw any of the neighbors. The yard is forest-y, not grass, so they kids mostly played by the river, wading and trying to fish. (Sadly we couldn't catch anything.) We really liked the cabin itself, it's beautifully decorated, and it felt so cozy when the rain came. The bunks were a big hit with the kids, there's even a cute little bridge between the top bunks. We cooked all our meals and I would say the kitchen is well-equipped for eating/light cooking but maybe not for cooking from scratch. Not a big deal if you plan ahead and bring pantry staples and utensils. We would for sure consider staying here or at another of the host's properties again!

The setting was absolutely peaceful and picturesque, surrounded by a natural wooded area with gorgeous trees and a tranquil river flowing nearby. It truly felt like a private retreat in nature. One of our favorite features was the hot tub, perfectly situated to enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest. Relaxing under the trees while taking in the peaceful surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. The cabin was comfortable, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. If you're looking for a quiet escape immersed in nature, this is the perfect place. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Had an amazing stay at this property! The place was clean, quiet, and well-appointed. Beds were comfy and so was the big couch. While we think the property could benefit from window dressings, we were overall happy with everything.

This place was beautiful inside and had an amazing view of the river and surrounding trees. Waking up to that view is truly gorgeous. The river was the perfect height to dip our feet in and the dogs loved it too! The White Pine Recreation Trails wasn't far at all and we had an amazing hike there. In the same day we went into town and visited the Big Rapids Riverwalk Trailhead for another beautiful hike and grabbed some amazing burgers at Schuberg's Bar & Grill. Overall, very beautiful retreat and was a great weekend getaway.

We loved our stay here, absolutely perfect! We traveled about 3.5 hours from IN so that my son could fish the river but unfortunately the river was too rapid and high while we were there. The home itself was spacious with a super comfy couch! Very clean and the host was super responsive. We would love to stay again!

Loved staying here! Came with my partner to celebrate their birthday and it was the perfect location. Extremely clean not a bug in site! I loved looking out at the river through the windows along the side of the house and from the hot tub. The hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked. It was very clean, hot and private. Loved that it was secluded but not too far away from the stores if you needed to get something.

Vinimos con mi esposo a pasar nuestro aniversario, queríamos algo rodeado de agua, tranquilo y bonito. Y realmente este lugar cumplió con nuestras expectativas. La cabaña es preciosa. No queríamos irnos de ahí!

The view of the river was stunning! The river was vey high but not something that can be controlled by anyone and yet we still walked to it and waded a bit, in waders! The teens did some fishing as well. The home is also equally pretty and the master bathroom was amazing, as was the second bathroom having 2 toilets and showers! It worked so well for the kids getting ready in the morning before we headed out to fish.

Fantastic stay- the pictures don't do the view justice. Rained during our stay, and the wood burning stove made it feel so cozy, and was still able to enjoy hot tub. The hosts were so responsive to any questions we had, and so kind! Would 100% come back!

Beautiful location! Newly renovated. 5 stars for the couch, spacious and very comfortable. Beds and outdoor furniture were very comfortable as well. The kitchen could use a few more items (cake pans, baking sheets, etc.) Hosts were responsive and polite, we had a great time!

If I could rate my stay 6 stars, I WOULD! The home we stayed in was extremely beautiful, very clean, and stocked very well. The host went above and beyond and always responded to me quickly, super friendly and professional. This home is super secluded in the woods, very peaceful and overall one of the most beautiful houses Ive ever been in. The only thing that could make my stay better is summer time, which is coming up so I will 100% be back!

This was by far the best Air BNB I have ever had the joy of renting. From the first moment of walking in the door we felt right at home. They thought of everything from extra towels, and ample amount of pillows and blankets, to even supplying wood for the wood stove. It was the coziest vacation that we have ever experienced, from soaking in the hot tub to walking into the heat from the wood stove was just magical. We will definitely be renting again in the near future. Thank you for the beautiful stay!

We just now returned from celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary here (stayed late December through early January) and we even brought our 2 border collies along for this trip. There were nice local roads to walk the dogs and a close by dog park they were able to meet other dogs. My favorite part of the trip was when Kathy and I took time to enjoy the private spacious hot tub while at the same time taking in the view of the beautiful and strong and fast flowing Muskegon river. We would love to return to enjoy this property in the Summer! - Doug & Kathy (Jackson, MI)

Forest and Flow Retreat was the perfect spot to have Christmas with my family. It was spacious, well organized, and right on the river which was peaceful. The host was super responsive, understanding, and respectful. My family and I all agreed we would love to go back there again. It was the best AirBnb I have been to yet. It is pet friendly but dogs only, so be aware of that. I didn’t fully read that part, until after my cats were already there but after speaking to the host, he was very kind and understanding of our situation and we came to an agreement. (Just don’t take advantage of that as a guest) Super responsive! Even when we had to bother him on Christmas. I cannot speak enough on their friendliness and even the neighbor was the sweetest lady ever! Would recommend!

We loved this property, and were one of the first to stay there. (Writing this review late) Super private, unbelievable view of the river. It snowed big time when we were up there, and the views were spectacular. Very comfy furniture and a pretty loaded kitchen, as we like to cook for ourselves vs going out. Only issue we had, was the heat was turned down to 50 degrees when we arrived. It took us hours to get the heat up to something comfortable to take off our coats. After that, it stayed cozy the whole time. I would recommend the host keep the initial heat up higher in the winter time, so the first night can be enjoyed without coats! Besides that, we can’t wait to go back. 5 stars ⭐️
