If you’re looking for a lake house to enjoy with the family in mid-Michigan, this is it! The house is perfectly laid out for families, inside and out. The little touches from the owners/builders show how intentionally it was designed to meet the needs of families, from the hooks under the deck for drying lake gear to the foot wash tubs around entrances for sandy beach feet. The lot is beautifully landscaped and about as private as you can get on a lake. Perfect room for the kids and dogs to play! The lake water was clear, beach was perfect to wade in, and bass fishing galore right off the dock and around the lake. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need to make and store meals. The house has limited fans for hot summer days, so bring extra fans if the weather is warm. Especially the bunk room - it could use some airflow. The septic and basement shower could use some maintenance, as that should all work well in a house this pricy! But in the end, we enjoyed our stay.

This place was fantastic! Beautiful, clean, quiet and fully stocked! Perfect for adults and children of all ages. I will be recommending it to all my friends.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. We are a group of 7 people and 1 dog and we are truly satisfied with the place. Everything is what has been said on the description. I like that it is dog friendly. It's good for a peaceful retreat. All amenities are working just fine. The lake is so calm and relaxing. Inside it is clean and very nice to just stay in. I am recommending this to my friends and will probably book it again next time.

We had a wonderful time. The lake was crystal clear and the beach was clean! We loved the corn hole boards and the downstairs sauna during our colder day. The home had everything we needed, even lots of baby stuff that was super helpful for my 8 month old nephew.

My family enjoyed this lakehouse during a random 80 degree swing in the weather for Northern Michigan. Would highly recommend booking this for your family. Lots of things to do for the kiddos. The Lake the house is on called Windover Lake is beautiful, clean and full of bass! We had blast fishing from our pontoon and then enjoyed a fire by the lake every night.

Our group truly enjoyed our time spent at Forest and Flow! The view of Windover Lake was absolutely beautiful! First night there we spotted two loons and a bald eagle!! For us bird lovers it was a spectacular sight! Unfortunately, during our time there it was very windy and chilly so we weren’t able to have a fire or spend much time enjoying the outdoor amenities. But let me tell you, having the sauna to enjoy in the midst of the wind and chilliness was exactly what we needed! We definitely would love to visit this beautiful spot again sometime soon! There are lake views in the front of the house and to the back! And it’s just an overall cozy space to occupy, we each felt right at home!

We had a wonderful stay! We visited from Chicago and were looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind. The peace and quiet were exactly what we needed. We took the paddle boat out every day, relaxed in the sauna daily, and soaked in the lovely views. Our dog loved the huge yard to run and explore, and the sunsets were absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend and would love to come back especially in the summer time!

The house is in a great location with a wonderful view of the lake! We enjoyed spending time on the deck watching the loons and other wildlife. It was a very relaxing stay!

The house and setting was absolutely beautiful, so peaceful, and just as expected. Host was responsive to any questions I had in the run up to our stay. Everything was as described and clear instructions were left throughout the home for anything we had questions on, so had no need to reach out during our stay. The private beach, water toys, firepit, saunas and other extras were plenty to keep us occupied throughout our trip. Highly recommend! We hope to be back soon & stay even longer next time!

Incredible place!! The location was right on the lake. Beautiful and serene. Their place was spacious and comfortable. The sauna was the piece de resistance. Would definitely stay again.

Definitely a nice place to stay at if you just want time to yourself away from the city with friends or family.

We arrived to a beautiful view of the lake and the area around the Cabin. The cabin has plenty of room for 10 guests. The inside was welcoming, very clean and so comfortable. The cabin has everything we needed to make our stay complete a washer, dryer, full kitchen, saunas, internet, fireplace, lake, and much more Our host Robert was friendly and efficient. He makes himself available, just incase we needed anything. It was a great stay and we hardly wait to stay at Windover Lake Retreat again.
