All I could hear were birds, no traffic. It's fairly secluded with nothing but nature around. The cabin is spacious with an awesome deck overlooking the river where we enjoyed our dinners. The beds are fairly comfortable and the large couch in the family room was great. Couple things could be improved: The 2 bedrooms have closet doors which were difficult to close from the inside of the bedroom & the stove was old and only had two burners working. The kayaks were our favorite. We launched from the property and stopped at the 50th st bridge which was a 5 hr float (there are shorter options). Fortunately, we had two vehicles (one being a truck) to accommodate this. The campfires at night were great and my two teenage boys loved the sauna! They also loved the fishing and catching tons of frogs etc. For the price it's great getaway & we would definitely return! ## Clinton R. — Magnolia, Kentucky — August 2026 — 5★ What an amazing but short trip! I love the secluded area. It was peaceful and perfect. Everything was as listed. We really enjoyed the break from the oppressive summer heat and humidity in southern Kentucky. (It was 59° when we left Evart this morning and 105° with high humidity when we got home!) The deck was great! We enjoyed a few hours of quiet fishing in the river. The smallmouth bass were biting great. My wife loved the black squirrels, and as always we loved the whitetail deer and rabbits. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable stay. We felt right at home, and everyone we encountered was friendly. We will definitely book again! It was bigger inside than we expected and had so many games we could all play. Many air mattresses, and also a huge couch to sleep on. It was fun to explore the river with the provided kayaks and river tubes. It’s such a fun relaxing getaway with your friends. The host responds quickly and checks in often. Definitely don't forget bug spray, we knew to grab some before arriving. The cabin had everything we needed. The host was impressive with their response time! The cabin was beautiful and so was the surrounding countryside. Along with the Muskegon River right out the back door, it was also a special touch to wake and find about a dozen deer in the yard. We really enjoyed the large comfy couch in the living room, and the beds were also comfortable. The sauna was an added luxury on a chilly spring night. The owners were very responsive and even provided recommendations on local restaurants. The cabin smells like wood, and is very spacious.
