The river was vey high but not something that can be controlled by anyone and yet we still walked to it and waded a bit, in waders! The teens did some fishing as well. The home is also equally pretty and the master bathroom was amazing, as was the second bathroom having 2 toilets and showers! Rained during our stay, and the wood burning stove made it feel so cozy, and was still able to enjoy hot tub. The hosts were so responsive to any questions we had, and so kind! Beds and outdoor furniture were very comfortable as well. This home is super secluded in the woods, very peaceful and overall one of the most beautiful houses Ive ever been in. From the first moment of walking in the door we felt right at home. They thought of everything from extra towels, and ample amount of pillows and blankets, to even supplying wood for the wood stove. It was the coziest vacation that we have ever experienced, from soaking in the hot tub to walking into the heat from the wood stove was just magical. We will definitely be renting again in the near future. There were nice local roads to walk the dogs and a close by dog park they were able to meet other dogs. My favorite part of the trip was when Kathy and I took time to enjoy the private spacious hot tub while at the same time taking in the view of the beautiful and strong and fast flowing Muskegon river. It was spacious, well organized, and right on the river which was peaceful. The host was super responsive, understanding, and respectful. My family and I all agreed we would love to go back there again. It was the best AirBnb I have been to yet. It is pet friendly but dogs only, so be aware of that. I didn’t fully read that part, until after my cats were already there but after speaking to the host, he was very kind and understanding of our situation and we came to an agreement. (Just don’t take advantage of that as a guest) Super responsive! Even when we had to bother him on Christmas. I cannot speak enough on their friendliness and even the neighbor was the sweetest lady ever!
