The cabin was cozy and comfortable. We cooked, we went canoeing, biked on dirt roads, sat by the fire. The floating Dock with Kayaks is amazing and fun. The fire pit area is a sweet spot to look at stars. This spot is also pet friendly. Great location. Quiet and peaceful. The river was very clean and water was clear. The water was also quite cold, so bring your suit-of-bravery. 🤣 There are no grocery stores nearby, only gas stations. So, try to bring all your needs. I do think you have the right idea about sending teenagers out, and I guess that's an advantage to having older children! haha! ## Jeffery H. — Chicago, Illinois — September 2023 — 5★ This cabin is beautifully clean and modern without losing its cabin vibe. Gorgeous wood interior, spotless, well organized, stocked with everything you might need, and sitting in the middle of some beautiful woods overlooking the river. The 3 outdoor living/seating areas were each unique and lovely: the deck with a grill and plenty of seating just outside the kitchen separated by a wall of windows, the fire pit with seating and an opening through the trees to look at the stars, and down the (27-with a handrail) steps to the floating dock on the river, where you can use the two kayaks, or the canoe to paddle up river and float back down, or bring a meal or snacks down. We stayed mostly at the cabin because there is plenty to do: walk, paddle, swim, cook, have meals, fires (outdoor fire ring and indoor fireplace), play one of the many well stocked games. The 3 bedrooms, beds, linens, towels, and bathroom are clean and comfortable. I hope they will have me again as I want to make this a yearly thing! I wish I could’ve stayed longer. There was no TV nor WiFi which honestly makes sense! It does allow you to forest and flow! We left some firewood behind for the next group that stays here. There were 2 kayaks and 1 canoe and the river is absolutely gorgeous up or down. Also there is not a television at all, one of us got sick and it just would have been nice to watch something when by themselves. It was an amazing get away from the city.
