The house was adorable and well stocked, private beach was clean and beautiful! Overall a great stay! ## Denise S. — Avon, Ohio — July 2026 — 5★ Our stay at Forest and Flow’s cottage was absolutely wonderful! The home was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We spent our mornings enjoying coffee on the deck and our evenings grilling dinner on the Blackstone and dining outside. The fire pit was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. The private beach was incredible, peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to spend the day. There is a short walkway that leads you to the 70 steps down to the beach which were manageable; we’ve definitely encountered much steeper access at other lakefront properties. There were beach chairs available for use which was great. The host was responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. Forest and Flow are always helpful and super responsive. There was an issue with propane tank dying during grilling and they offered to have one delivered to us, but since we already went and got one, they reimbursed instantly. Our extended family made great memories around the fire pit, playing games, cooking on the Blackstone, watching the sunset, and relaxing on the deck with a morning coffee. The property felt private and peaceful. The home was clean, comfortable, and nicely updated. As someone with dog allergies, I was pleasantly surprised to have no issues despite the home being pet-friendly. Just note that there are quite a few stairs to the beach, and most restaurants are a short drive away. The beach is very private and just a short walk and some steps to get there. We walked it everyday. The house was great, kitchen very well stocked and everything was in working order. Beds were comfortable but the master bedroom does get warmer than the rest of the house but it was good for us since it never got over 70 outside during our visit. View of lake is limited from home but a 5 min walk gets you there. Property management company was our only complaint as they did not provide a clean space upon arrival and did not want to reimburse for the extra shoveling and cleaning we did. Airbnb was awesome to deal with though.
