The home itself was great for our group. It comfortably slept everyone, had plenty of space, a beautiful beach, and a cozy backyard. We truly enjoyed the property and our weekend there. Unfortunately, my experience with the host, which is a property management company, was much different. When an issue arose before our stay, communication felt inconsiderate and unnecessarily difficult during an already stressful situation. That negative experience has continued after checkout. I paid a required $900 deposit and am still working through Airbnb Support to have it returned. The management company has not adhered to the refund timeline communicated by Airbnb, and Airbnb has also had difficulty resolving the matter with them. The property itself has a lot to offer, but I would caution future guests to be aware of the management and deposit process. Our stay was enjoyable, but the way management handled issues significantly impacted my overall experience.

Beautiful stay. We regret booking for just a night.

Beautiful house and while there are other homes nearby, it was very private. The house had everything you would need to feel right at home. The bedrooms are all a really good size with comfy beds. The beach was pristine and beautiful! Natural shoreline in both directions. I've lived in Michigan my whole life and have never witnessed a prettier sunset than we saw during our stay. Yes there are lots of stairs but it was so worth it. Even just walking to the top of the stairs gives a beautiful look out area. We would book this house again in a heartbeat!

Good location for Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Spacious so everyone could have their own room. It's a charming house with a nice view. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening.

Our party had a great time staying on the lake. We had six folks and were excited about having three bathrooms. We loved how close the house was to the water, and the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking items. Robert was very responsive and it was easy to get into and lock the house. When we arrived, one of the bathroom sinks was clogged and one of the main beds had not been remade since the last visitors. We washed the sheets and looked for drano as suggested by Robert. Overall, this placed worked for our purposes.

Location, location, location. Taking the stairwell to the beach everyday made my toddlers weeks. Had a great multi generational family gathering here.

The stairs to the beach were steep. Ok for us but could difficult for some less abled people. We wanted to use the kayaks that were on the beach one day, but the name of another cottage was written on them, so we didn't dare to use them. However, the web site said that kayaks were available. This needs to be more clear. We loved this place! It's quite private, even with 3 other cottages very close and other people use the same stairs to the beach.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay! The location is wonderful with great private access to Lake Michigan, and we loved using the outdoor grill firepit, and the games made available like croquet A few quick notes for future stays: *The floors hadn't been swept/mopped upon arrival, so we cleaned them ourselves. Also, We had to run out in the middle of dinner to buy propane. *The A/C was uneven (some rooms stayed warm) a toilet lever/flusher was broken, and the TV and fan remotes didn't fully work well. *A neighbor confronted us about beach property lines. Adding clear boundary would help avoid confusion.
