It was peaceful, beautiful property, lots of trails to walk and well groomed! The only thing that would have been good for us was nice sturdy front porch chairs…there were chairs but my fiancé has back and hip problems and uses a cane and the adorandack chairs are hard for him to get out of! We highly recommend this property if you want a beautiful, private and relaxing get a way! The cabin was cozy but definitely not small. It was the perfect sized cabin for a couole for family of 4-5. My husband and I stayed there and it was so peaceful and quiet. We took a walk around the property at sunset. It was gorgeous. We ordered in for the first night from Pompeii’s pizza in Evart. The garlic butter is the best. The next morning, we woke to a couple deer munching apples in the yard. What a great way to start the day. We enjoyed a slow morning with coffee on the porch and listening to the birds. We took a long walk around the 20 acres and it was just perfect. There were so many beautiful (and freshly cut) curvey paths to walk on. Advice -pack extra shoes and socks because your feet will be soaked if you go in the morning. Also, nearby in Cadillac, we ate at The Raven Social and it was amazing. Their pesto tomato Grilled cheese and tomato soup was to die for. Yes, early mornings as the dew collects on the grass it can get a little wet. That's a great recommendation for guests! We're glad you had a great time and it sounds exactly like how our family would have spend the weekend as well! The only thing that would make it better would be if guests had access to wifi. We could not bring our work laptops and stay for longer. Secluded area with nice set of trails to walk. The cabin has everything you could need. It was a great spot to stay at while we fished, biked, golfed and went tubing in the area. What can I not say about this place! If there was a 10 star rating it would get that! My family and I stayed here for 5 days and was an unforgettable vacation for us. My two sons, 11 & 7, both loved it. From the beautiful, winding trails, to the surprise pond we found with frogs, they had, in their words, the time of their lives! My 11 year old even pitched a tent by the fire pit a walk a way from the main cabin and said it was amazing:) Communication was perfect and the host made sure we made it and had everything we needed. Also the host Robert was really helpful, polite and answered quickly. Things to know which aren’t negative. T-Mobile service is nonexistent so you will have no communication with the outside world if you have them. If it is wet, the mosquitoes are horrible. The property is a 20 acre oasis surrounded by large tracts of farm or undeveloped land. It's very serene! You're right, T-mobile is a dead zone here, but ATT & Verizon have LTE coverage that allows you to stream movies and games. We asked the mosquitos to stop coming back, but I they don't listen very well. ;-) The property attracts many deer with the acorns, apple trees, bedding and nearby corn fields. If you're looking for something that feels remote and peaceful, this is the place! Things I liked... First off Robert is an amazing host. He's very responsive and the company is proactive. Excellent The cabin is super cute! Great size for two or a small family with plenty of space for our fur baby. The couch is very comfy. The kitchen has supplies but if you plan in really cooking you might want to bring some extra things This is just a statement...the bed was firm.
