This place is very “worn” even for a cabin experience. Piles of snow on the pair have making it impossible to use the stairs. It had huge bugs flying around, flying into us in bed, one even bit my child’s foot. Dining room chairs are on the verge of falling part in their own. Couches were dingy and uncomfortable. Best part was the log cabin itself and the night sky was lovely. ## Jonathan — February 2019 — 1★ While the home was lovely, our experience in having the host help got our car out of snow that they should have shoveled was unacceptable. When we showed up we found out that the 500 foot drive was not shoveled and had nearly 2 feet of snow. We attempted to contact the owner several times and only 3 hours later did we get a response. Very open and great to just hangout. We would love to come in the spring months or fall when the trees are full beautiful! Please note, if you are coming during the winter months, you'd need a car with 4WD. I didn't but that didn't deter us! The house is truly set back into the woods about 300 ft so we had to dig a little parking spot near the entrance because we couldn't get up the hill! Also, the roads back there can be a bit icey so if your car is not suitable for that kind of terrain, be prepared! Leaving the cabin we couldn't get up the hills to get home! The space itself is very nice. There are no blinds or curtains so hopefully you won't mind that when you hang out in the space. No one's around anyways so it doesn't really matter. They have a stove and fridge so we cooked our own meals. The main bedroom is lofted and that was one of my favorite parts! The land is beautiful, we trekked along the snow and just enjoyed the trees. I'm sure its even more beautiful when there isn't snow and you can see the paths and where they take you! Exactly as described but pictures don't do it justice. Based on reviews I wasn't expecting to have cell service but we have Verizon and had good reception. We were really hoping there would be snow but got rain instead so only got to go explore once. The trails are very well maintained, kids and dogs had a blast walking them. Robert was always extremely fast getting back to me, would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away. Private & beautiful but only 10 minutes from town. You won't regret staying at Roberts cabin! ## Amanda — November 2018 — 4★ I truly enjoyed my stay. The pictures do not do the home justice. The inside is extremely beautiful. Conveniently located only 10 minutes from town. Mobile phone internet did not work but I brought movies to snuggle up on the couch at night. The loft is unforgettable. One of the most gorgeous beds I have ever seen. Definitely more convenient then a hotel because of the kitchen amenities and the privacy. No blinds so if you are shy about changing in front of a window this may be a little different. The host was aware my dog would be staying and he had a dog bed, dog bowls, treats and a toy available. Very thoughtful and sweet. Please note that the road and the driveway to the cabin is not paved so the dirt will be affected by the weather. My husband, our dog, and I had a great time relaxing at Robert's cabin for the weekend and felt right at home with all the amenities provided. I would definitely recommend this property for any one else looking for a nice quiet get-away with a gorgeous view of nature. ## Elizabeth — October 2018 — 5★ If you are looking for an off the grid experience without having to sacrafice the comforts of home, this is the place for you. The cabin mantains a classic log cabin feel but has all of your favorite modern amenities such as electricity, temperature control, and a full kitchen. The property is amazing and spacious and we spent most of the day outside, either walking the well manicured trails or just relaxing with a hot cup of coffee on the porch. In the evening we sat fireside, cooking food over the open flames and enjoying the stars. I cannot reccomend this cabin enough and we plan on returning in the near future. ## Mindy — October 2018 — 5★ If you are looking for someplace away from the hustle and bustle this is a great place. The trails are well maintained and easy to navigate. Dog loved exploring...there is even a dog bed! We didn’t realize there is no fireplace...an oversight on our part but would have been nice since we had a chilly rainy weekend. We were confused of where the laundry was supposed to go. When it was time to check out, the ladies that had come to clean the cabin showed up right at check out time and scared my dog to death. I know it wasn’t intentional, but a bit nerve wracking as we were trying to pack up and leave. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay! I would definitely stay again. The property was beautiful and I love the fact that I could take my fur baby with us.
